Eye Library
We have included some more detailed information about several common eye conditions as educational resources. As time goes on, we hope to continue expanding our library so check back often for new reference material.
Blepharitis
Blepharitis is a common condition that causes inflammation of the eyelids. It is sometimes known as “eye dandruff” or “psoriasis of the eyelids.” The condition can be difficult to manage because it tends to recur.
Cataracts
A cataract is a progressive clouding of the eye’s natural lens that interferes with light passing through to the retina.
Dry Eye
Dry eye occurs when the eye does not produce tears properly, or when the tears are not of the correct consistency and evaporate too quickly.
Glaucoma
Glaucoma is an eye disease in which the nerve fibers in the optic nerve are damaged and cause vision loss.
Macular Degeneration
Macular Degeneration is a chronic disease that causes a loss of central vision, and can dramatically impair “straight-ahead” sight that is critical in daily activities.
